One of the core principles of alchemy tells us that only separated things can be joined, that a process of differentiation is key to a successful and long-lasting union. In this workshop series, we’ll explore relationships through this lens, applying the Alchemical Inner Work technique to re-imagine the complexities of intimacy and connection, and to discover paths towards resolution and transformation.

This Month’s Focus: Coniunctio & The Alchemy of Union

In our second workshop, we explore the alchemical operation of coniunctio, and what it means to enter relationship from the grounded clarity that follows separation. In alchemical texts and archetypal imagery, coniunctio represents the coming together of differentiated parts into a new, more integrated whole. In relationships, this might look like building intimacy through mutual self-awareness, honoring difference as a source of depth, and creating a shared container that holds complexity, tension, and transformation.

In class you will:

• Explore coniunctio as a key to deepening intimacy, sustaining connection and anchoring relationship in psychological wholeness
• Deepen your understanding of archetypal dynamics through mythic stories, dream images, and alchemical manuscripts featuring themes of coniunctio
• Learn three steps to apply separatio & coniunctio to relationships, drawn from Jung’s alchemical studies and psychological writings
• Apply the Alchemical Inner Work technique to relational patterns in service of meaningful connection and transformation
